HTML that works well inside Panels

I understand that the idea is to use flash to build more complex panels,

but I'm an old dog that wants to build a nice HTML panel and I couldn't find too much documentation about

wich code works well and wich one doesn't work at all...

Eg.:

Simple CSS works fine to beautify the layout of my Panel,

but things like to use javascript are very fuzzy.

Could we use javascript inside an HTML Panel or not? (if yes: any documentation?)

Could I use an html form in my Panel?

In this thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/663118zhpingw published and old and useful list of URLs to link different

tools and functions.

I have found that, for example, this one works well:

<a href="adobe://photoshop.cs6/Action/Action set/Action name">link name</a>

But I couldn't find an URL that works well to call an specific Tool from my personal ToolPresets

(I've solved that creating an action to load each of my tools).

So what I'm looking for, plus answers to those simple questions- is documentation, code examples, information and tutorials that

help us to build better Panels.

Any help?

Thanks in advance
